Jharkhand stop Orissa`s winning run

Orissa`s winning run was disrupted when the state suffered a 113-run defeat at the hands of Jharkhand in their third league match of the East Zone Vinoo Mankad Trophy (u-19) Cricket Tournament at Cuttack today. A half-century each by Babul and Raju Kumar and a fourw-wicket haul by Prakash Seet helped Jharkhand clinch the emphatic win, which fetched them five points, while Orissa conceded one point. As many as five Orissa batsmen failed to open their account. Assam upset Bengal by 66 runs in another league match of the day. All-rounders Shiv Shankar Roy (71 runs and 3 wickets) and Roshan Basfor (50 runs and 2 wickets) played major roles in the Assam win, which gave them five points.
